I’m really excited to be part of the blog tour for Reveal by Brina Courtney.  Isn’t the cover awesome!!!

Goodreads synopsis:

Shay Tafford is not normal. Being a cryptid is not normal. Seeing ghosts is not normal. Her father’s disappearance is not normal. Lucky for Shay, Hugh isn't normal either.
So when he enters her life through her dead best friend Shay knows he may be her only chance at a normal life. A life she is desperately searching for.

Author Interview:

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hi there! I'm a former beauty queen, I absolutely love to read, and I coach a high school cheering squad.

What inspired you to want to become a writer?
I lost my job in July and began reading like it was my job (I've always been a reader, but now I was reading at least a book a day). I realized I was looking for a different type of book, so I decided to write one myself. I love my book, so hopefully I'll write more, if nothing else to entertain myself. LOL

Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
You want to know what a cryptid is, don't you?

Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
I am currently writing a book called Cassie Claire's Cult Life and then the next Cryptid Tales novel will be out this summer. Those are the only two I have outlines for so far, but I think I have at least two more in me for next year. Four books a year? Done.

What sparked the idea for your novel?
Honestly, a BONES episode. They were talking about a chupacabra and other mythical creatures and I started to do some research. Cryptozoology really interested me, so I thought, hey this is cool, why not write about it?

Your favourite authors?
J.K. Rowling- I am a potterhead and proud of it!

If you could have dinner with one person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
President Obama, I'd like to give him insight into the education system that I don't think he has. He talks about teachers getting laid off, but unless you are one, you don't really understand the situation. Sorry to get all serious, it's just a tough place to be.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Hmmm... I actually really like where I am. If anything I think I'd like to be closer to my family, we're almost two hours apart and I'm a real family person. I'd rather be only like twenty minutes away, I miss my mommy doing all the cooking.

If you could travel back in time to a certain event in history, what would it be?
I would like to know the reasons why Lincoln was shot. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during that scene.

Favourite fictional character?
Hermione Granger, she proves how smart and kick butt girls can be.

If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional. With whom would it be?
Bella Swan... gimme some Edward and undying love- forever, not just a week. Not to mention vampire powers are the best.

What is the last book you read?
Foretold by Raine Thomas- it was epic, you need to read the Daughters of Saraquel Trilogy, just sayin.

Please follow Brina’s blog tour to Following the Reader tomorrow for a review of the book! REVEAL will be available to buy on December 16th. My review of Reveal will be posted here shortly.
